Climber & Yachtsman

Summited an unclimbed Himalayan peak in 2019; became the 4th Japanese to finish the solo transatlantic Mini Transat yacht race in 2025; now preparing for the 2027 Global Solo Challenge, a solo non-stop round-the-world race.

Kevin Moxey From Sydney

Ocean-going Yacht Building Specialist

Builder of ocean-crossing yachts, currently building his own vessel for a voyage from Shinminato out into the world. Came to Japan after a career as an audio engineer, including AV work at Sydney Olympics venues and large-scale live event production.

Arata Kyohei From Takaoka City

Japan’s First and Only High Diving Athlete

An extreme-sport athlete who dives from 27m cliffs; the first Japanese and Asian athlete to compete at the World Cup and World Aquatics Championships. Alongside competing, he promotes water safety, tourism, education, and talks to build a society that welcomes challenge.
