Sharing “Practical Knowledge” by Verbalizing Challenges

The other day, I had the opportunity to give a lecture and interactive session for 180 students at Clark Memorial International High School, Yokohama Aoba Campus.

Since it was a large venue, I felt a bit anxious at first as it was hard to read the students’ reactions. However, once we moved into the interactive session in the second half, fascinating ideas and opinions began popping up one after another, creating an incredibly energetic and high-octane atmosphere.

As Mr. Yuichiro Miura serves as the Honorary Principal of Clark High School, their mountaineering club seems to be one of the largest and most prominent in Japan.

Stepping onto the stage this time also gave me a fresh perspective on the current environment surrounding education. I learned that the percentage of students choosing correspondence high schools has risen to 9.6%. Furthermore, friends in the HR Tech sector tell me that cases of general corporations directly engaging with high schools and technical colleges are rapidly increasing.

I see this as a highly positive trend. Rather than just offering abstract “stories” to school education, I am committed to engaging with students by focusing intensely on the following two points:

  1. Delivering “Deeply Subjective, Practical Knowledge”: Sharing experiences grasped through my own feet and hands, while pairing them with objective evidence and logical thinking.
  2. “Simple Language, High-Level Content”: Never watering things down just because the audience consists of junior high and high school students. Instead, translating the true essence of risk management and the logic of goal achievement into accessible words to truly reach them.
