Dialogue Archive
A record of dialogues between ocean sailor Hiroki Nakayama and working professionals and students.
Currently, “non-cognitive skills” and “expeditionary learning” are indispensable.
In contrast to quantifiable academic ability, “non-cognitive skills” such as motivation and perseverance are uniquely human strengths essential in the AI era. “Expeditionary learning,” which cultivates these skills, fosters the ability to accumulate hands-on experience in unknown environments, think independently, and solve problems.
The lecture is structured into a 50-minute talk covering: 1) Self-introduction (past challenges, next challenge, and work), 2) Mindset and meta-cognition, and 3) How to find goals, followed by an extended Q&A and talk session.
